2026 DC Fly-In Georgia SHRM Members Advocate for Workforce Policy Reforms on Capitol Hill SHRM Georgia D.C. Fly-In Attendees from across Georgia invested their time on Wednesday, March 25th in our nation's capital focused on topics important to Georgia workplaces. While there, the group · Met with the offices of 7 Georgia Congressional Representatives, · Met with the office of Senator Raphael Warnock · Attended a reception and interacted directly with Senator Jon Ossoff, and · Observed as SHRM CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. testified before the Senate Committee on Aging: Experience Matters: Seniors and the Workforce. Our priorities and discussions were focused on the needs of Georgia workplaces: · Supporting Working Caregivers · Strengthening the Education-to-Employment (E2) Pipeline · AI Regulatory Framework to Protect Workers, Promote Ethical Innovation This annual event is open to anyone focused on legislative topics important to Georgia workplaces. We are proud to engage in advocacy efforts alongside SHRM's Government Affairs team as we all focus on "policy not politics." Make plans now to join us in 2027! |
